At Volunteers for Community Impact, we have a unique approach to community engagement. We actively recruit volunteers across Central Florida through our AmeriCorps Seniors Programs and the OTTER Program. Our AmeriCorps Senior Volunteers, who are all 55 or older, contribute their time and talents to a variety of organizations, including nonprofits, schools, Boys and Girls Clubs, Head Start, and more.

AmeriCorps Seniors is more than just a volunteer program; it's a lifeline for both the communities we serve and the volunteers themselves. By participating, our senior volunteers not only support essential services but also experience improved health, find companionship, stay active, and foster a sense of belonging. In some cases, they can also receive a modest income to support their needs.

We offer an hourly stipend to eligible volunteers in two of our AmeriCorps Seniors Programs. This support helps with transportation, additional food, medicine, and other essential items, enhancing their quality of life and making their volunteer experience even more rewarding.

The OTTER Program continues to grow to help even more children find the love of reading! With a partnership with Dolly Parten's Imagination Library, we can provide books to children so they can start their very own library. Reading is so important for a child's growth and to continue to fuel their imagination! You can help us continue to reach even more children, grow the program, and we can provide even more books to children.
